First Night – Oneonta, NY

Walk Around Magic Oneonta NYWhat a busy way to end the 2014.  I ended up with two events that were both last minute additions but man were they fun.  Right after the trip from Manhattan I went to help local performer BJ The Clown setup for the First Night Activities at Foothills performing center.  I ran into the event coordinator who had heard of me from word of mouth in town.  She asked if I would be interested in doing walk around for a few hours.  And what kind of magician would I be if I said no.  I did 3 hours of walk around.  I had some great reactions from a family that was visiting from North Carolina.  I got to meet some new people that live right in town.  And I got to hang out with some of my favorite local performers.  What a great evening, and what a great way to end 2014.

A Taste of Magic- Manhattan, NY

10891685_764188503667793_6375925362886068853_n While I was in Manhattan over the Christmas Holiday I got a phone call from one of the members of ‘Magnets’ and I found out that there was a A Taste of Magic tonight and they wanted me to come perform.  Of course I said yes but then quickly realized that

a) I didn’t have any gear with me

b) call time was only 2 and a half hours a way.

c) I had nothing to wear.

So I quickly hopped back on the subway to the place I was staying liberated 3 teacups, a wooden spoon, and a Roll of Aluminum Foil from my friend Ian’s kitchen.  Ironed some clothes and I was off to the Show.  That was my best experience with Taste by far.    Every table had such a great group of people at them.    I got to spend the evening with some of my best friends.  And they suprised me by singing Happy Birthday to me in front of the entire audience.  Definitely a show I am never going to forget.

The Last Magic Show with Circle Line Cruises – Manhattan, NY

Circle Line Kids CruisesToday was a bittersweet day.  I did my last show with Circle Line Cruises today as their official Magician.  It was a great cruise and I got a chance to go by Lady Liberty one more time before I pack up and head up state.  I recommended and I believe they are going to hire the young and amazingly talented magician Rachel Wax.  I know She can knock it out of the park and entertain the families who come on board next year.  To all the crew and other performers I have worked with over the last two years,  you have all been great professionals and I hope to work with you all again.
